On December 23, 2010 Ubisoft confirmed that there would be a sequel for Assassin's Creed II. The company also revealed that the sequel would focus on Desmond Miles, rather than Ezio Auditore da Firenze. On January 10, 2011 Ubisoft officially announced Assassin's Creed II to be released in fall 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
